Fireweed Photography Contest
Rules HERE for 2010 All photographs must be of or relate to the 2009 Fireweed 400 bicycle Race. Three Categories Scenic – photographs of landscapes, waterfalls, mountains, etc. The photograph may contain people, but people should not be the main emphasis. Still Life/ Other – still life images includes groupings of inanimate (does not move) objects, including food, flowers, and artifacts. Any photo that is not suitable for the other categories by definition should be entered in this category. Each entrant may submit as many images as they wish in each of the categories. Each image must be submitted with an application. Submitted images should not have any names, watermarks, or other identifying marks that would show the identity of the photographers to the judges. Images may be from a digital or film camera, but may be emailed as a jpg attachment or submitted in print form. No jpg images should be longer than 800 pixels on the longest side and no smaller than 400 pixels on the shortest side. The image file size should be no larger than 300 KB. Notwithstanding the above dimensions and size, an emailed image having the dimensions and size of a standard “email preset” will be accepted (e.g. Yahoo’s or Outlook’s email preset’s dimensions and size). The application and jpg image should be e-mailed as attachments to: Jim Magowan (magowan@gci.net) with Photo contest in subject line. Prints should be no larger than 5 inches by 7 inches and should be taken to Stewart’s Photo Shop or call Jim Magowan 345-0190 for instructions. Prints should also contain a document containing the name, address, telephone number of the entrant. Each photo should be submitted with an application.
